Friday Fellowship with Brother Jayananda – Recordings
Beginning in August 2020 due to Covid 19 closure restrictions, Brother Jayananda has been meeting with the Bay Area Temple members each month together for spiritual fellowship, upliftment, and updates on the progress of our new temple in Walnut Creek.
The meetings are recorded and are available for a limited time.
Brother opened the evening with a prayer and a meditation.
Brother mentioned the future SRF World Convocations as to whether they will be digital as well as in-person. No decisions have been made, however the technical learning which has taken place over the past 19 months will enable Mother Center to extend to a greater degree to the worldwide family of SRF devotees.
A slide presentation of the current work projects, the July Day of Service/Fellowship, and the beautiful gardens and trees in summer bloom. Brother read a few entries from Daya Mata’s travel diary to India in 1958. Inspiring insights from Daya Mata’s experiences bring to life the vivid stories. An entry was included from Ananda Mata who wrote of the celebration put to honor Daya Mata’s visit and the endearing experiences of young children.
The evening ended with a closing prayer and Brother’s blessings and well wishes to everyone.
Brother opened the evening with a prayer and a ten minute meditation. He quoted our guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, who encouraged devotees to meditate deeply no matter how long or short a meditation might be.
A slide presentation showing projects that have been underway and are now getting completed. Brother read more entries from Daya Mata’s travel diary to India in 1958 which are insightful to her wonderful sense of enjoyment of the Indian people, temples, and countryside.
