Self-Realization Fellowship’s How-to-Live Retreat program is open to lesson students seeking spiritual renewal and who wish to leave behind the pressures of everyday life for two days to deepen their awareness of the Divine. The weekend retreat program provides, in the words of Paramahansa Yogananda, “a dynamo of silence where you may go for the exclusive purpose of being recharged by the Infinite.”

• This year The Bay Area Temple Self Realization Fellowship annual retreat is once again offered at the Los Altos Jesuit Retreat Center at 300 Manresa Way, Los Altos, CA 94022.   The dates are March 20 through March 22, 2026

• The cost is $365.00 for a single occupancy room with a bathroom or double occupancy with a bathroom. There will be a $20.00 charge for deposits followed by final payments.

• Registration is now open and ends on February 21, 2026. Plan to have all payments and forms submitted by February 21, 2026.  Please be sure to note that while we will make every effort to find a replacement retreatant should you need to cancel, there is no guarantee that we can provide a reimbursement.

• A few scholarships may be available for Bay Area Temple lesson student volunteers.  Full or partial scholarships will be available after the donations for scholarships funds are received.  In mid-January, the scholarship application form will be posted on the website and a first come first serve list will be generated.  We pray we may be able to offer as many scholarships as needed.

• Registration may be made in person, at the retreat information table, with a check after the Sunday 11 am service, or download the form at home and mail it to the temple, or pay by credit card in the bookroom by including the registration form to the bookroom on Sundays.  The bookroom will not provide registration forms.  Forms may be picked up at the retreat information table on minister Sundays or downloaded from the temple website.

• Plan to email us with your questions at the srfbayarearetreat@gmail.com .  On minister Sundays someone will be seated at a retreat information table to answer your questions. 

• All payments and retreat inquiries can be answered by  the Bay Area Temple retreat volunteers.  Please do not contact the Los Altos Jesuit Retreat Center directly since the retreat is an SRF event and Los Altos Jesuit Retreat Center is the provider of the wonderful facilities but not responsible for collecting payments, how the retreat is organized, the cost or the room assignment.
